It has been (widely) noted by the media in the UK that “Supermarkets” are “locked into a price war” and have reduced the price of their Petrol & Diesel to “reflect the drop in the price of Crude Oil”.

Today I drove past my local supermarket (Black and yellow logo, Northern in origin…know the one?) and I noticed that Unleaded was 114.5ppl. Now, last time I checked the price of a barrel of oil (This morning) was $1.34 per barrel, DOWN from a high last week of what, $1.40?
